Since my Mom collects Noah's Ark, I found Alma Lynne's Noah's Ark Collector adorable ~ and it was fun to do! It has some beading on it. I did this on a khaki-colored linen, 28 count, I think, and finished it in 1998. This was one of my backstage projects. The jute that makes up the fencing came out during wash and Mom had to put it back in before it was framed. This now has a place of honor in her Noah's Ark bathroom.

This Noah's Ark Collector sign is a companion piece to Alma Lynne's Noah's Ark Collector. I finished this one in 1998 as well. I did this in the same linen as the other one and Mom has it framed and positioned right under the other picture in her Noah's Ark bathroom.

I did this trio, Rose Garden and Rose Colonnade by JCA, as a headboard for our bed (since we don't have anything but a frame) All I had to stitch on the side panels is the roses. I'm not a big fan of embellished cross stitch, but my framer is a genius! Look at how beautiful these look!

The middle, Rose Garden, is by far my favorite ~ with the doves in front of the trellis. I stitched the roses & the doves.

These side panels, Rose Colonnade, really set the whole grouping up. Elaine did a beautiful job with the dark wood frames and the forest green, maroon & pink mats.

This embellished cross-stitch kit from Dimensions of an Old Mill, I did for my Daddy in 1998. I wasn't too sure about it, since I had to fudge some to get it to work right, but our framer, Elaine, is a genius! Her framing job made a believer out of me that if you frame something correctly, it brings out the beauty in whatever it is being framed. She used a navy blue mottled mat which is reminiscent of water and underplayed the rust ~ which neither my Mom nor I much cared for.

I did this piece for my Mom & Daddy's 25th Anniversary. Truthfully, I don't remember the designer of this piece, since I didn't keep the pattern. My Mom's decor is country, so I knew this would fit right in. I have to tell you I was extremely burnt out on navy, though! |
