This is Barbara Baatz' Indian Angel from her booklet, Angels. I got so sick of all that rust color in her dress! But it sure looks nice finished! :) It's done on a 28 or 32 count Antique White/Cream. (I forgot to write all that down while I was taking pictures) The shadow on her foot is from the teepee in my Mom's Native American Nativity set. The matting and frame are the same mottled navy blue, while the inner mat is somewhat of a golden hue.

Here is another picture of Barbara Baatz' Indian Angel with my Mom's Native American Nativity set. It stays up year round.

I whipped up this Wire Whimsey kit from Dimensions for my Mom in 1996. It's a cute little Noah's Ark and hangs in her Noah's Ark bathroom now. The wire is a little wonky because it evidently rusted a bit, and Mom had to shorten it. Still, it was a fun little perforated plastic adventure.

Lavender & Lace's Angel of Hope was my first foray in the world of linen ~ and I got hooked! It is done on 32 count Cream Belfast and finished in 1996. I used Sulky Gold Thread instead of the DMC metallic ~ which has turned out to be a wise decision! Mom got this matted with 4 mats ~ two more cream colored, and two to bring out the navy in the angel's sash.

This is by far one of my absolute favorite designs by Stoney Creek. It was also my first time using Kreinik Blending Filament ~ and there was a *lot* of it! The collar of the Mime is in different shades of blue & Kreinik. The headpiece is black & Kreinik ~ the makeup is blue & pink with Kreinik. The strings on the mandolin are long pieces of Kreinik Blending Filament. It is stitched on one of my favorite fabrics ~ 28 count Forget-Me-Not Jobelan Blue. It is matted with 4 mats, 2 each of darker blue & lighter blue and it framed with a gorgeous silver frame.

I just had to show off my arrangement in the Guest Room with my Mime and dresser items. I really love these harlequin/mimes & roses!

Stoney Creek's Walks With Angel is a beautiful and sparkly design. I love her angels! I did this one for Mom in 1996, but I think it will probably come home to live with me. I've decided to do the Lavender & Lace angels for her and the Stoney Creek ones for me.
